ParEcon is short for "participatory economics," a post-capitalist economic system that has grown in popularity with people fed up with the status quo. In the radio series Snow Blow Hard: Xmas with a Vengeance, Bill Ratchett suggests an alternative video game to his son, Timmy, in which cooperation replaces violence and greed. The name of this proposed video game is ParEcon Kindgdom. The bridge of this song is a nod to Gang of Four, a British band formed in the 1980s who are characterized by their Marxist themes.

They call it a kingdom, but there's no king
It's an online realm of collective control
Where everyone wins by achieving shared goals
And renumeration is according to effort and contribution

Chorus:
ParEcon Kingdom's alright
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright.

The means of production are socially owned
No one accumulates excess wealth
Everything we need, provided by the group
Including personal growth, empowerment, and satisfaction

ParEcon Kingdom's alright
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright.

ParEcon Kingdom, Virtual Utopia, Digital Democracy, Parecon Kingdom
ParEcon Kingdom is an innovative video game which utilizes a popular medium to communicate an experiment with radical ideology and parcatice. The goal of this simulated revolution is to operate as a test run, a proving ground and a means of building solidarity while we work to make our vision a reality.

You don't have to chase some quest to reach a higher level
You only need to do your share according to your consumption
You're invited to log in to interact or just kick back
There's no elitism or caste or class distinction

ParEcon Kingdom's alright
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright.
