Snow Blow Hard: X-Mas with a Vengeance Snow Blow Hard: X-Mas with a Vengeance is a serial radio comedy-drama written by Robert McMinn for the Sagebrush Variety Show. It's every Christmas story you've ever heard -- and then some -- rolled into one, plus throw in a bit of Idaho flavor and politics. Any resemblance of the play's characters to real persons, living or dead (such as potato magnate JR Simplot or ID Governor Dirk Kempthorne, for example), are purely coincidental.
The more you know about Idaho politics, the more you will enjoy the characterizations in Snow Blow Hard, but you don't need to be from Idaho to be entertained by the story. Episode 1: County Coroner Umatilla Kennewick declares PJ Dimdeed's business partner, Jason Marsing, dead, but his ghost later brings him a message. Governer Duke Bramblevine is depressed about not being important and tries to kill himself on the Boise River. He meets Clemens, his guardian angel. Song: Bah Humbug. Episode 2: The Ghost of Holidays Past visits PJ Dimdeed and takes him to several events in his past, where they bump into Duke Bramblevine and his guardian angel Clemens on their excursion into Duke's past. Song: Rebel. Episode 3: Duke Bramblevine and his guardian angel Clemens look at how Idaho would have been if Duke had never been born. Duke is inspired by the experience and resolves to become a popular progressive politician when he returns back to his timeline. Episode 4: The dramatic conclusion!
